Automatic reboot after shutdown  Topic is solved

Sun Feb 21, 2021 10:08 am
Not sure if this is the right category to post this in, but ever since the last KDE Plasma update several days ago,(from Plasma 5.20.5 to 5.21.0, I guess) whenever I shutdown from the desktop my computer will automatically reboot after a brief pause.

Searching various web forums for people having similar problems on other systems led me to a work-around by running the following command via Konsole: "sync && poweroff -f"

Does anyone know if this is correctable by other means or if it has anything to do with the recent update? Note: I'm not great with scripting or configuration files but am wondering if there is a setting somewhere to adjust?

Update: New updates available today (a week after upgrade to 5.21.0) involving GRUB seem to have fixed the problem.
