Have had an ongoing issue/bug for several plasma updates that I figured someone else would have reported but I haven't seen anything yet regarding the desktop widgets not remembering settings.
For instance the Hard Disk I/O Monitor frequently forgets I have a second drive when I reboot. The order of the drives in the widget sometimes changes too, so drive 0 is above drive 1 and next reboot drive 1 is above drive 0. If I go into the widget's config and make a change, 2 sections of the drives appear in the widget (total of 4 graphs) and I have to remove the widget or reboot to get it back to 2 graphs. Occasionally the CPU Load Monitor widget will forget its settings and the graph is empty. When I open its config I find none of the CPU's are checked and I have to click on one of the "system" CPU to get it back again. After numerous reboots it'll just forget again. |

Please file a bug report at https://bugs.kde.org, this can't be solved in the forum.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Turns out they won't work on the bug as Plasma 5.19 changed the widgets and it's no longer an issue. Go figure...not sure i like the new style - seems they're all circular with no history and only shows current usage...if so that's a step backwards.

Ok downloaded a live version of Kubuntu to play with today and the widgets have lots more customization so it shouldn't be an issue once Plasma 5.19 or newer gets into the next LTS version. Kubuntu 20.10 has the newer Plasma for anyone interested in trying it out.
