Screen Saver doesn't work

Sun May 02, 2021 3:51 pm
Hi all,
for some time my screen saver doesn't work anymore. After the specified time (5 min) the screen gets dark, but immediately comes back to normal.

Also when I switch off the screens (having set the "key eventhandling" to switch off the screen), the screen switches off and immedialtely switches on again.

My configuration:
Code: Select all
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210429
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.12.0-1-default
OS Type: 64-bit
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics
Memory: 13.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics

Also the command
Code: Select all
xset -q
gives the following result:
Code: Select all
Keyboard Control:
auto repeat:  on    key click percent:  0    LED mask:  00000002
  XKB indicators:
00: Caps Lock:   off    01: Num Lock:    on     02: Scroll Lock: off

06: Suspend:     off    07: Mute:        off    08: Misc:        off

                        9fffffffffffffff
                        fff7ffffffffffff
bell percent:  50    bell pitch:  400    bell duration:  100
Pointer Control:
  acceleration:  2/1    threshold:  4
Screen Saver:
prefer blanking:  yes    allow exposures:  yes
  timeout:  0    cycle:  600
Colors:
  default colormap:  0x20    BlackPixel:  0x0    WhitePixel:  0xffffff
Font Path:
  /usr/share/fonts/misc:unscaled,/usr/share/fonts/Type1/,/usr/share/fonts/100dpi:unscaled,/usr/share/fonts/75dpi:unscaled,/usr/share/fonts/ghostscript/,/usr/share/fonts/cyrillic:unscaled,/usr/share/fonts/truetype/,built-ins
DPMS (Energy Star):
  Standby: 0    Suspend: 0    Off: 0
  DPMS is Enabled
  Monitor is On
Font cache:
Server does not have the FontCache Extension

In another thread I have read to issue the command
Code: Select all
journalctl -b0 | grep powerdevil.*Enforcing
. However the result list is empty.

Any tips how to find out which application is causing this problem?

Thanks,
Johannes
