Hi,
Some time ago I plugged a second VGA to try passthrough to a VM. I forgot it inside my system because I never finished my tests and recently I try to remove it but the system didn't start any more. I found several articles about that issue but with different folder structures and solution that could damage my system. I can not afford to let something like that to happen right now. I am kind of newbie in Linux, so PLEASE, go easy with me. When I was trying to make the passthrough I didf the following: I first tried to use VirtualBox and also tried pciattach, but I failed Then I install KVM, but I failed to complete the passthrough again When i removed the second VGA I tried: to edit the /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf not so much of success to edit the sddm.conf to VBoxManage modifyvm Win10_game --pcidetach 03:00.0@01:08.0 "there was nothing attached" to install gdm3, but I prefer the sddm better to update to the latest and try different drivers, no luck This is the second VGA IOMMU Group 21 03:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation GP108 [GeForce GT 1030] [10de:1d01] (rev a1) here is a syslog that may have something interesting
thanks in advance |
