Hum... Odd. I was hours away from complaining about this long standing bug, but suddenly, it's fixed (but not without complications).
Using Fedora KDE (pick a release, any release!) switching between activities, assuming you have more than 2, has been, well, let's say, not as advertised. Up until today, meta-tab would switch between the current and the previously used activity, but would not course through all of them. Meta-tab would not switch at all if the cursor wasn't focused on the desktop (which was very inconvenient when the app was full-screen, like my browser is) using Wayland (but that worked in X-11). Assigning key-strokes to activities wouldn't do it either. Now, it does. I assigned meta-f1 to the default, meta-f2 to the second, meta-f3 to... you get it. It works when the cursor isn't on the desktop, too. Nice. The complication was that my keypad (I seldom use a mouse) was reset to default. I had gotten used to tapping for right-click, but it went back to the button, unexpectedly. I was able to reset things to my habitual usage habits, but my settings should have been preserved, but that's a small rant. |
