Hi all,
When you go back to your computer and wake up the screen, it shows the lock screen with the time but not the username and password field. It doesn't seem to be sensitive to any keys or mouse, I just have to enter the password and hit enter blindly to wait to get to the desktop or else it will display the username and password field with an error message. I don't know if this is normal behavior, but it was repeated in all tested distributions (Debian, Kubuntu, OpenSUSE). It definitely looks like a KDE thing. I'm using an old laptop with integrated Intel where Plasma notifies me about problems with compositor so I use Xrender. It's quite annoying because computer users expect a screen to enter the password on the lock screen, but nothing there indicates the purpose. Regards. EDIT: Hell, I was expecting more visibility in the project forum, something more than 4 visits in one day, which has been devastating. Not the right place to answer technical questions? |

Maybe because you didn't give enough information, namely the exact Plasma version and distribution?
FWIW: can't reproduce this here, do you maybe have an incomplete installation?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
