Not sure if this is even the place, but been relatively fresh linux convert running kubuntu for maybe 6months. I am running a ryzen 3600 and used to run a 280x aka 7970, and browsers or widgets would at random points start graphically glitching. I assumed it was because the 280x was too old as i was told it 's from the time before Lisa Su and the new dawn for linux support. Now i bought an RX 580 but it's still happening. Why, or how do i find out what's the problem?

Bump. I've tried starting without compositor and that seems to work because i haven't experienced any of it. But of course now i have very noticeable screen tearing while playing videos.

What are my options here?
