There diamond icon on every KDE window restores it to its last position after being maximized. I am trying to make a keyboard shortcut for it like i have for minimize, left, right and maximize, but there is no option in KDE Settings > Shortcuts. There has to be the code for it for the window icon. I posted on askubuntu and got a python script back that cycles through all the window stack, but thats not the most direct way that Plasma uses I assume.

I just have to press the maximize shortcut again to restore the window size (default is Meta+PgUp).
