Hi
I am using Kubuntu 20.04 on my Thinkpad P15v and since yesterday I can't turn the volume up or down using F2/F3 anymore. Fn-Loock isn't on and the other functions like brightness etc. work. Is anyone experience the same issue and/or has an idea how to solve this? Thank you! |

What did you change? And why running a rather outdated Kubuntu? The LTS version has been released recently, you really should upgrade your system.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I don't know if it's related, but when using the keyboard or mouse to change volume level, there is no visual feedback to indicate a change to the level - a volume level graphic popped up temporarily on my screen to indicate the change as it happened. I was on v20.04.5 LTS until the point release arrived and updated last weekend to v22.04.1. Since the update, my volume changes just fine, but there is nothing to indicate it changed except the curved lines representing louder/softer on the speaker icon in the system tray which is very crude in it's steps. Now I have to hover my mouse over the icon or click the icon to see the current volume setting. I double-checked to make sure the "Show visual feedback for changes to: Audio volume" is enabled.
Software is default with 22.04.1 install: Plasma - 5.24.6 Frameworks - 5.92.0 QT - 5.15.3 Kernel - 5.15.0-48 Is this a known bug? |

I do have a visual feedback on the screen when using my F2/F3 keys, the only difference being your Frameworks version being older. I have backports enabled on my system, which suggests this has been changed already.

Thanks I'll wait for the updates to trickle down and see if that resolves the issue. |
