when using the media keys to increase the audio volume I would like to go beyond the 100%. Is there a way to make this possible?

As you do not provide any information of what you already tried and what packages or even operating system you use it will be hard to answer your question. The simplest way would be to use the plasmoid "Audio Volume 1.0.0" and enable the checkbox "Raise maximum volume" which will support up to 150%. Keep in mind that overclocking chips always could lead to hardware damaging.
