hi,
it is showing below error when i tried to connect my android phone for file transfer,
"The file or folder udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb2/2-3/ does not exist."
using MX linux 21.1 KDE (plasma 5.24), dolphin file manager.
Please help to solve the issue,
Note: (phone xioami, samsung android phones.)
Same phone can be connected in xfce, gnome, etc using file manager.
I wish same browsing experience can get in kde plasma as well.

Maybe you need to activate the automatic mounting of your device, in System Settings -> Hardware -> Removable Storage -> Removable Devices

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

enabled auto mounting and connected phone again using usb, selected file transfer.
Still same error.
I can see few files when selecting image view using file manager Or PTP option.
MTP is not working, but working with other linux file manager.
I tried Pop OS live and connected phone, file transfer was working then.

File can browse using thunar file manager.
File location mounted as: mtp://SAMSUNG_SAMSUNG_Android_RZ8M43A7KQP/Card/
same address i copy and paste to dolphin, but showing error, "could not enter folder /card"
removed /card and tried again, error "No MTP compatible devices found".
Dolphin mounting phone in below location (but not working actually, error only)
mtp:udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb2/2-2/
Dolphin is far better compared to thunar, so how we can solve the issue.

Weird, works perfectly fine for me with Dolphin, Android phone connects through mtp flawlessly. (OnePlus Nord2, Android 11)

Not working for me, am using Mx Linux 21.1, kernel 5.10, plasma 5.24.
I search with the error code and find some suggestions, nothing working.
Please help me on this.

I found a bug report that might shed some information: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411489#c10

Please check with your distribution, maybe not all elements necessary for it to run are on the same version. e.g. your kernel doesn't appear to be very recent to start with, 5.10 is outdated to say the least.

I wish I had seen this discussion earlier, I would have suggested this solution

If you haven't tried it yet: https://mac.eltima.com/transfer-photos-android.html
