Hello,
lots of files with cryptic names keep appearing in my home directory and I don't know why.

It started quite a while ago but now they are created quite often. The look something like this:
Image

The content of these files always looks something like this:
Code: Select all
[KCrash]
exe=#U
appname=U
apppath=PU
signal=11
pid=35910

They are owned by my user (not root) and only appear in my home director "/home/ben", no where else (as far as I know) and in no subdirectories (as far as I know).

Since contain "KCrash", a KDE program, I thought that they might be created by some crash reporting tool or something, and maybe they can be disabled.

I hope somebody can help me, they've become quite annoying.
Thanks in advance,
koolkdefan

Do you have any tips on deleting them quickly?
They don't seem to match any mattern and I can't select them in Dolphin, so I have to run
Code: Select all
for i in *; do
rm -i "$i"
done

which takes some time
