Restore Quick Tile Wndow Behavior

Tue Mar 21, 2023 2:57 pm
Currently the Quick Tile Window shortcuts (left, right, and top/bottom left/right) all snap windows to some custom apparently adaptive grid (windows are then grouped together when re-sized). How do I turn this off? Ideally I'd be able to set the tiles to be a 2 by 2 (I've already done this via Meta+T and it doesn't fix the quick-tile shortcut behavior) and disable the grouping for resizing.

I'm currently on Plasma 5.27.3 (though I'm unsure which version this started with). I assume this is part of the updated tiling management, but I've been using these shortcuts to snap windows into a 2 by 2 grid (without grouping windows for resizing) for several years, and now the change has made it very difficult to use my computer. I haven't found a fix poking around the settings. Any help is appreciated.
