Linux newbie running Knoppix 5.1.1 from iso CD. KDE v3.x. Since I've got the Knoppix CD, I don't have the man or other help files.
I've searched all the forums, but get hundreds of hits that don't address my simple newbie question: How do I get the menu and toolbar to appear in the kpdf window? My other windows are OK. All I have in kpdf is a border, the title bar and the vertical scroll bar. I've tried lots of stuff that shows up in the choices provided when I right-click the icon in the upper left corner of the window, but I don't see how to make the menu and toolbar appear. I was reading a pdf document when I did something to make the menu and toolbar disappear. My guess is I hit a key combination similar to what starts autoscrolling, something I stumbled onto. I was trying to stop the auto-scrolling in kpdf and some keystroke combination I tried made the menu and toolbar disappear. I've been looking at the online User Guide under "Windows, How To Work Them" but I just don't see what I'm looking for. Just a link to the documentation that answers my question will be fine. Tnx.

I think crtl +m enables/disables the menubar, you could try that.

Yes, thanks. That works. Once the menu is back, it's possible to get the toolbar back. |
