I did an install of KDE 4.2 Beta 2 from source. Everything is going well, except that I can't find Kate. I thought this app was supposed to be a part of kdebase, but after looking in the source tarballs I couldn't find any evidence of it. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just a mistake in the 4.1.85 files?

I suppose I could pull the source from svn, but I just thought it was odd.

Kate is in the kdesdk module since KDE4, which is why you can't find it. ;-)

Yeah, that would definitely explain why I couldn't find it. Thanks for the quick response :-)
