Hi there.
I have just installed KDE3 on a Ubuntu machine using the package "kubuntu-desktop". Now, i haven't changed anything, but after logging in the first time, all folders in the root directory are showing on my desktop (/root /dev /etc, etcetera). I have installed KDE many times before, but this has never happened to me. ![]() Of course, i can't just delete them, because i obviously do not have the permissions to do so. I noticed that there is no "Desktop" folder in my home folder as well. Just creating this folder and rebooting didn't do anything. How can i fix this? Thanks! |

What is your desktop path set to? You can find a "Paths" module in KControl I believe that controls these. Make sure it is set to /home//Desktop
