KDE 3.5 panels will not take up the entire screen

I have 3 monitors 1680x1050, 1600x1200, 1680x1050 the issue is that the menu bars on the 2 1680x1050 monitors will only grow to a length of 1600 in length. If I try to place the panel on the right size of the screen it will sit 80 pixels into the screen and not on the edge as it should. The 1600x1200 size (middle monitor) is fine, it is only the wide screen monitors that show the problem. I have the size slider set to 100%, but the 2 1680 screens seem to be assuming the size is actually 1600 and not 1680.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
ERIC

Sounds like a failsafe that will only let the panels grow to the largest size of the smallest monitor. But you would have to ask a developer who worked on Kicker to know what is actually happening.
