I like to have at least 2 shortcuts for command running: Alt+F2 (for compatibility with default settings) and Alt+` (as my own preference). I have not found how to set more than one shortcut in KDE 4.

The same problem I hava in Amarok.

In Amarok under Settings menu -> Configure Shortcuts.

Open System Settings, click on Keyboard & Mouse, activate Global Keyboard Shortcuts and choose Run Command Interface in KDE component:. Then you can change the shortcut.

But now I also see, that there is no way to have an alternative shortcut. AFAIK this was possible in KDE 3. I also did not found a report on bugs.kde.org. Perhaps you can file one.

EDIT: It seems that assigning an alternate shortcut does not work for the global hotkeys. In other shortcut configuration widgets, there are three columns: Shortcut, Alternate and Global.

Cheers, m
