Hi Guys,

First post! I am wanting a way to disable the black "widget configuration handles" on desktop widgets. They slow things down just a hair and kinda annoy me when I'm dragging the mouse over the desktop. At the very least I would like a way to set the amount of time it takes them to appear, or at best, disable them and only show them when the control key is pressed or something like that.

Even just a config file hack would be fine for now, -if I only knew where to look.

Am I missing something? Or am I the only one who dislikes those little things? Or should this become a feature request?

Thanks,

Lawrence

They are generated by Plasma, and the only way I am aware of to disable them is to lock your Plasma desktop. This can be done by right clicking on the desktop, and selecting "Lock Widgets"

OK, That's good enough, Now if ctrl+click would behave as unlocked...

That would be a feature request I believe, although I think the Key Combination might have to be different since Ctrl is used for something else in Plasma.

Feature requests can be filed at bugs.kde.org
