remove entries from krunner

Sun Jan 11, 2009 9:10 am
How do you remove an entry from krunner? I have tried to remove it with kmenuedit, but this seems only to work for entries in the kickoff menu. As workaround I have been able to remove it by deleting the .desktop file from /usr/share/applications.
Is there a way to remove entries from krunner per user?

If you are looking not to have a KRunner entry, then I would recommend not installing the Runner, or perhaps disabling it through the configuration dialog.

Any specific reason why you want to remove a Runner for only some users?

I don't think codeclump wants to remove the whole krunner, but just entries from it, such as "bookmarks" (which I've removed, because they're in the way) or "command line". That can be done with the wrench icon on the left side of the krunner.

Editing the command history would be another guess if krunner remembered its command history between sessions, which it annoyingly doesn't do yet.
