Hi there
Don't kill me for this question I'm running GNOME, but like some of the KDE apps, which packages are needed from the 4.1.2 download list ? Best regards Carsten, Denmark |

What distro do you use? If you use a package manager to install a KDE app from the distro's repository, it should automatically download the required KDE packages (libraries) for that app.

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10, but the reason why i would like to know, is that i'm going to build my own distro, and then need it for putting on the cd Best regards Carsten, Denmark |

Well, simply:
..should notify you of all the lib dependencies. Though, make sure you have all your repositories enabled under System -> Administration -> Software Sources |

aptitude show foo_bar
will show all Depends try it . found the line start with "Depends" please remember the depended packages will have depends of its own, so you may need to recursive check the depends.

I'm interessted in installing all the KDE4 libs, and base, so all the dependencies are covered, i just don't want to have all the programs and the desktop itself installed Best regards Carsten, Denmark |

KDE 4.2 will also have kdelibs5 packages.

To run kdeapps without the desktop you at least need kdelibs (and it dependencies) and kdebase-runtime.
