I'm trying to configure xbindkeys to make use of my extra mouse buttons in KDE. I want to set up the rocker switch on the wheel to switch me to the next and previous workspaces, respectively.

In order to do that, I need the console command that will switch back and forth. I think in KDE3 this could be done with dcop, but not sure how to do it in KDE4. I took a look at wmctrl, but it doesn't have "next" and "previous", it just takes you to a specific desktop or window.

Any thoughts?

Well, I found it myself. For others, the command for next desktop is:

qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin org.kde.KWin.nextDesktop

Previous desktop is:

qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin org.kde.KWin.previousDesktop

I need to learn more about qdbus, looks pretty cool.
