Hello,
How does one clear a password that is remembered by KDE? I accidentally clicked OK on a dialogue box requiring root authentication before I noticed the "remember password" box was checked. Now each time that (critical!) application is launched there is no request for password auth before the application opens. I tried changing the root password but then the target application would not load at all. Thanks for the help! Timinski Montreal, QC |

Try looking in the kwalletmanager.
I've never saved root passwords, but I'm pretty sure they would also get stored there.

Thanks for the post, Alec.
I had already tried KDEWalletManager before posting. No go. There is nothing stored there. B.T.W., I didn't intend to store the root password! |

Which application was it "remembering" the password? Some applications might store it seperately in encrypted form in their configuration file.
