As the title says....

Running xset dpms force off powers off the screen as it should, but Powerdevil does not. It _does_ dim the screen, but the backlight remains on regardless how long it has been idle.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks, hadn't looked in the bug reports.

The forum thread seems to be a different issue though....

The only way I could get the screen to blank (power off) is to set it in the system settings->Display->power
