Hi
I realised that there is a difference between KDE3.5 and KDE4 in the way they react to key modifiers. If I press the three keys 'Win', 'Shift', and '+/=', in KDE3.5 it's recognised as 'Win++', however in KDE4 it is recognised as 'Meta+Shift++'. I think because of this behaviour, When I use KDE4 shortcut scheme with 4 modifiers, I can't for example maximise a window by pressing 'Win++' because presumably it's recognised as 'Win+Shift++'. Any idea? Cyrus |

So you want it to recognize Meta + Shift + "=" on the keyboard as well as Meta + "+" on the numpad?

No I'm not using the numpad at all. I expect pressing 'Meta', 'Shift' and '=' to be treated as either "Meta++" or "Meta+Shift+=" but not "Meta+Shift++" as is treated by KDE4 now. |

Could anybody try this on KDE4:
System settings -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Import scheme -> Standard scheme -> KDE default for 4 modifier keys. And then see if you can for example maximise a window by pressing Meta, Shift and = (as it is defined for KWin: Menta ++). I cannot achieve this on my laptop (my only kde4) using Win key as Meta key. |
