I have a problem with my Sleep button on Logitech Cordless Desktop keyboard.

PowerDevil do not work with them (Yes I set up option for Sleep button!), so I tried manually set up this button in "Input Actions". But, when I press Sleep button I've got this message:The key you just pressed isn't supported by Qt.

If I open terminal and type - xev, I got XF86Sleep keycode for this button.

On other side, I have enabled keyboards layout with Logitech cordless keyboard model.

Why this button do not works and why I can not use them in Input Actions??

I'm using Fedora 10 and KDE4.2.

Can anybody help me, please.

grof, I think you cannot use an Input-Action is because the command 'pm-suspend' (for most people) needs to be run as root. You can probably add the user to the command via your sudoers file, I was hoping to not have to use a workaround though. Is there a keyboard shortcut now for this in Global Keyboard Shortcuts? I couldn't find one but perhaps I missed it (using 4.3.3)? The best I could find was under 'Run Command Interface' that has shutdown, reboot commands but I don't see one for sleep.

Edit: Looks like this is a bug with <=KDE 4.3.3 Powerdevil not recognizing the sleep button:

There is a link on the page for a workaround:

The script works fine but I think that their is problem with conflicting key bindings with powerdevil and input-actions using the same key. If I choose another key, it works fine.

Anyone know a way to decouple the powerdevil binding?

Since Powerdevil is a KDE application, it should be using the KDE infrastructure for Keyboard Shortcuts, so you should be able to simply re-assign the keyboard shortcut to the Input actions module ( or deassign it completely ) using the System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse > *Shortcuts* KCM.
