Hello,

I would like to alter the behavior of standard KDE's suspend to RAM and suspend to disk buttons. Right now they seem to use echo "mem|disk" > /sys/power/state (or does KDE use pm-utils?). I would like to use /usr/sbin/hibernate and /usr/sbin/hibernate-ram instead (e.g. to have my sound card automatically muted on each suspend). Is that do-able? Or do I need to learn pam scripts?

I use KDE 4.2 on Gentoo Linux with tuxonice-sources-2.6.28-r1

EDIT: OK, a quick search through gentoo Wiki has helped: http://www.gentoo-wiki.info/Pm-utils#Hi ... _Utilities
