I've been using openSuSE 10 with KDE 3 all the time and now have upgraded to KDE 4 and i can't find My Computer (system) on the desktop..
How can i enable this so i see My Computer on my desktop? |

This isn't Windows, you don't get "My Computer" or "My Documents" or stuff like that. But the equivalent is there. Look at that tab in the menu called "Computer". It should have everything you need.

If you are in opensuse make sure you have the "kde4-kio_sysinfo" package installed along with either "kde4-kio_sysinfo-branding-upstream" or "kde4-kio_sysinfo-branding-openSUSE" (one should be selected automatically when you install kde-kio_sysinfo, but you can force it to use on or the other). I am not sure about opensuse 10, that is really old and I am not entirely sure how well it is supported, but it is there in 11.1 and I am pretty sure 11.0 as well. It will also appear on the desktop either as "My Computer" or "myComputer" and it will appear in the application launcher in the "Computer" section under the label "System Information". I am not sure why it has two different names. You can also access it in konqueror by typing "sysinfo:/" in the address bar (no quotes).

You mean it's just an inprovement? I thought it comes with KDE by default.. Hmm.. well thank you guys.. I love that Novell is always putting this impovement with each openSuSE (at least it was in 10.x versions) i don't know about now..

That must have been something your distro added, because it's not part of vanilla KDE. You can see your partitions and stuff in the "Places" panel in Dolphin.
