Hello,

I have two virtual machines. One running Debian GNOME 2.23. The other running Debian KDE 3.5.10.

The GNOME version uses the Update Manager to show and install available updates. When updates are available the Update Manager notifies the user automatically. The program is located at, /usr/sbin/update-manager.

But, the Update Manager is not installed on Debian running KDE 3.5.10.

I would like to know the KDE equivalent of the GNOME Update Manager.

Thank you for your time and help.

It appears that Debian does not yet have a non package manager integrated update utility for KDE yet. I believe Adept is available, and I think it has one in it.

Not sure about 3.5.10, but KDE 4.x has update-notifier-kde installed.
