Hi!
I have, unfortunately, another problem with KDE, but this time is 3.5 causing troubles. I downgraded from 4.2 to 3.5 and when i start kde, there is no title bar. I'm using slackware 12.2. P.S. You can also solve me another problem, when i type xorgsetup it shows "Fatal server error:" I hope you'll help me. |

Sounds like KWin is missing. What do you get if you run 'kwin --replace' in a terminal?

Yes, sorry, i figured it out but I meant something else.
Every time I go into KDE i have to enter this command, so I am asking how will i repair that. And I also don't understand why this error wasn't showing before, when I installed KDE for "first" time. And why is this error showing now. So I hope you can help me, becose I want every time i enter startx this all loads, with kwin. |

You can always make it start when with KDE, but that's just a workaround. To find the cause of the issue, could you please check if a new user have the same problem?

When I log in as normal user, everything is normal.
It happens only to root user. What should I do. I'd like to fix root user. |

It's not recommended that you log in as root user (you can use kdesu to run applications as root - e.g. 'kdesu konqueror').
As for the problem, it sounds like a broken config file. Unfortunately I don't have a clue which file it could be.

I know it's not recommended to log as a root user. I'll go on with this user
