I have just recently upgraded to KDE 4.2.0, and seem to be having a few problems.

Firstly, I had 2 post-it, 1 dictionary and the desktop plasmoid. The desktop plasmoid is working fine, but with the others, they are still displayed in the places where they were, but they are black with the 'warning' icon saying;

This object could not be created for the following reason:

Could not find requested component: plasma_applet_notes

And the same for the dictionary, but with: dict

They are installed, as I can see them in the list of widgets, but cannot even add any more to the desktop.

Secondly, when I first login, it opens two instances of Ark. Nothing in them, and when I close them, I get a SIGSEGV for both of them.

Thirdly, I have tried searching for similar bugs on bugs.kde.org, but keep getting the message;

Software error:

Can't connect to the database.
Error: Too many connections
Is your database installed and up and running?
Do you have the correct username and password selected in localconfig?

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (sysadmin@kde.org), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

Everytime I try to use the site.

Apart from that, totally impressed - much more professional!

For plasmoid try to delete plasmarc and "local-host"-cache. it usually helps. Both are found in .kde folder one directly in it and plasmarc is in share/config

To stop Ark from appearing at begining first try: system settings -> advanced -> session manager -> at log-in start new session.
If it dosen't work check if you don't have it under auto run also in system settings advance.

I can't help you with the last...

For future reference:
If you have trouble, please use a more appropriate forum than "Discussions". And if you have more than one problem please tell about them in different threads, so maybe users with the same problem can find it better.
