In KDE 3 one could drag a task off the task bar and drop it into any of the windows, is this possible in KDE 4. I found this very useful in cleaning up a window that I was over using.

In KDE 4.2 this is possible. :)

Dragging windows to the pager to switch desktops? Works fine here.

I thought the OP was talking about dragging taskbar items on to the actual desktop, not the pager.

Sorry, I did not make myself clear it is to the pager, for some reason it does not work for me but ran an update last night from 4.1 to 4.2 will check later

Yeah, the feature is new to KDE 4.2 so it wouldn't have worked in KDE 4.1. :)
