KDE 4.2 desktop crashing on Fedora 10

KDE 4.2 is crashing / disappearing with no taskbar, desktop or wallpaper on a fresh install.
Not sure why... maybe that rebuild command that I keep forgetting will help?

The rebuild command is probably: "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental"

Additionally, you could have a damaged install, so please ensure that your system is fully updated. Also try removing the Plasma configuration
