Am I missing something here?? Powerdevil not shutting down the screen with a DPMS call is a know bug and it has been fixed. But after upgrading to 4.2.1 in Debian, the screen still does not power off. I cannot find any mention of it in the official changelog either.
I really feel that fixes ought to be backported to a maintenance release. In these times of 'green computing' every watt counts. Not to mention I want my laptop screen to live long and happily.....
