Hi, i have a problem. When i run an app from krunner(alt+f2) and then close it, it becomes a zombie process :/ Why? The same thing when i try to logout, it doesnt work. when i restart the X server and log into KDE again, all of left runinng programs are zombies.

Does this affect any particular application(s)? Or does it affect every application?

[SOLVED] Zombie processes

All apps run by krunner.

For example: i type kquitapp plasma in krunner window. My desktop goes blank, but the plasma process still exist on the list. Then when i type in konsole killall plamsa it dies, but next time i run plasma i can see two processes on the list: one is plasma, and 2nd plasma zombie.

Open Konsole, then try this, posting the output here at the end of the procedure.

Code: Select all
kquitapp krunner
ps aux | grep krunner
krunner &

Then execute an application with KRunner.
