I just found something weird in my KDE4.2.
I tried get off some processes which i don't use.
There is in ps output gam_server process. It's from gamin rpm.
From google: Gamin it's package looking for file changes.
So, rpm -e gamin --nodeps, logout, login, buuuuuu kdeinit4 can't start (X style message).
So, gnome, yum install gamin, logout, login into KDE, OK!

Finally: What is connection between gam_server and core KDE ?

kdeinit4 should have no dependency what so ever on gam_server. Could you please supply the precise error message you get when gamin isn't installed?
