Hi!
I've set the LANG variable to en_DK.utf8. My keyboard layout is qwerty_es.map. I've selected in System settings -> Regional and language -> Keyboard Layout -> Layout the following options: Enable keyboard layouts, generic 105-key (Intl) PC, Layout name=spain, map es, label es, and the default variant. I've also played with the different variants to no avail. All KDE applications are not aware of the dead keys, whereas gtk applications are. If I set my LANG variable to es_ES.utf8 then everything is O.K., Any help appreciated, Thanks. |

I have a similiar problem. Dead keys do work in tty and with gtk applications, but not with qt ones. Any advice? I use a german keyboard layout and ibus (for japanese).

Unfortunately this is likely a bug in Qt. I would recommend filing a bug at their bug tracker ( bugtracker.qt.nokia.com ). You may also wish to try disabling ibus.

Disabling ibus is not an option for me (and doesn't work anyway. Why? I don't know. Maybe something I've done). I take a look at bugreports.qt.nokia.com.
