[SOLVED] Second Task bar?

Fri Apr 10, 2009 7:41 pm
How do I stretch the Task Bar located at the bottom of display 1 across the botttom of display 2, as well?

I am guessing you can't really stretch it ... you have to do something like create a new taskbar on the second monitor and move the right hand bits on the first task bar to right hand slots on the second.

But I can not for the life of me figure it out.

Any suggestions for finding information on this?

[SOLVED] Second Task bar?

Plasma does not support having the same Panel across two screens, because it creates technical difficulty especially when the screens do not share the same vertical resolution. You will need to use two seperate panels as a result.

This can be done by right clicking on the desktop > Add Panel on the screen where you need to add the panel.

Thank You for the advice. I figured it out. Actually I figured out quite a few things. For one... If you run your desktop in "Folder View" as opposed to "Plain Desktop" it begins to feel a lot more like KDE. :)

I did however manage to create a second bar and set it up. Add that with a split screen wallpaper and viola. It's KDE'licous.

Thank You for you help.
