alt+tab window cycling order

Sat May 09, 2009 1:57 pm
hi,

i like to cycle through all (maximised) windows on one desktop by using alt+tab

- without the window list popping up
- without desktop effects
- with most recently used cycling order

i googled a bit and found some posts diskussing this issue but as far i can see up to kde 4.2.2. this kind of window cycling is not possible. can anyone tell me about future plans concerning this feature?

regards, marius

If I understand your request correctly this feature has actually been available in KDE since forever ago. Just go System Settings -> Window Behavior -> Uncheck both "Show window list while switching windows" and "Traverse windows on all desktops".

most recently-used cycling order is (only?) available when "Show window list while switching windows" is checked, but this is not what i want sice i have no need for the window list.
