kdeinit4 takeing all CPU

Primoz Moderator Posts 859 Karma 1 OS	kdeinit4 takeing all CPU Mon May 11, 2009 8:32 am What's kdeinit4 and why is it taking all of my CPU? in htop the "command" says: kdeinit4: kio_http [kdeinit] http:/tmp/ksocket-primoz/klaunch I guess it want's to do something with klaunch, but I have no idea what and why... There was a bug that made kdeinit waste all cpu on kio-http, wich the WP uses to get info Maki, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Oct.
bcooksley Administrator Posts 19765 Karma 87 OS	RE: kdeinit4 takeing all CPU Mon May 11, 2009 9:33 am KLaunch would be "klauncher" the process responsible for managing KIO slaves, communicating with them and the application that is using their services. It is possible a socket has damaged permissions, or that the KIO slave is encountering problems itself ( and KLauncher keeps querying its status, never getting one and trying again ) Try removing your HTTP cache, and erasing /tmp/ksocket-$USER/ outside of a KDE session. And when I'll dod that I'll add weather plasmoid back to "double check" if the bug continues. Primoz, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Nov.
