For me, one of the most useful features in KDE 3.5.10 was being able to raise a window (and un-minimize if needed) by hitting a key. Under Input Actions I could define the key and the window to raise. I used it constantly.

I can't find how to do that in 4.2. The Input Actions section in System Settings doesn't seem to have anything like it. Could someone please tell me how to do this? Thanks.

On my trunk installation it is possible to assign windows a shortcut, which may accomplish what you desire.
Window Title > (Right Click) > Advanced > Window Shortcut.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was a big detraction for me in moving to 4.2.

Your solution works, but it is only temporary. Unlike the old Input Actions, it forgets when you close and re-open the window.

However it led me to the answer.

Window Title -> (Right Click) -> Advanced -> Special Window Settings -> Preferences -> Shortcut ...

That seems to make it permanent. AWESOME!

(If someone on the KDE team is writing a guide for migrating from 3.5 to 4.2 I hope you include this information. It does the same thing but in a very different way)
