Nepomuk and Strigi don't provide any functionality I want. So in the Kubuntu System Settings GUI, I've disabled them. But despite this, there's a nepomukserver process running on my system. It's not being started by an init script, so I assume something in KDE4's configuration is ignoring my settings and running it anyway.
Is there a way to get rid of this unwanted process permanently? |

You can stop process using kquitapp NepomukServer in a kde startup script. This works for me in the past but now I have a dual core so I have no problem with this slow service.
I think that there must be an entrance in KDE Services Configuration but there isn't. And yes, I agree, I can't understand why nepomukserver is running if you disabling nepomuk.
