Hi,
After an upgrade from 3.5 to 4.2 (because of Kubuntu 8.04 to 9.04), KDE lost several of my configurations. There's only one I could not put back: the launch of a home made script when a USB device is connected. In KDE 3.5, there was a small window displayed when a USB device was connected, showing several possible actions, such as "open in Konqueror", "do nothing", etc. And it was possible to add its own action in this list. How can I do that with KDE 4.2? I had a look in the notification tool, in systems settings, but could not find this. Thanks for your help Yann. PS : among the other lost things which I could put back: the automatic login was lost, the application launcher was removed (it could have been migrated, no?). |

The Application Launcher I think you are after is now called the Classic Application Launcher.
There will be an editor for Device Actions in KDE 4.3.
