i'm searching for a way to emule KDM4 in a Xephyr's window (as an example).

This for testing my KDM (I pratically finished recreating a program able to gere completely the themes).

Under kde 3 :

- /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc : write "Enable=true" under [Xdmcp]

- /etc/kde3/kdm/Xaccess : we need to decomment the line "#any host can get a login window"

- Xephyr : sudo Xephyr -query localhost -fullscreen :1 & sleep 6 && sudo killall Xephyr

It worked very well.

After the way through kde4, I make researches, I have websites which say :
replace kde3 for kde4, indeed, the files are always present, and we can apply to them the same modifications.

I'm with the lasts drivers ati.

Do you have the same problem ?

Do you know what to do ?

KDM in KDE 4 may be using the global XDM settings now. I am not sure however, since SUSE has always done that to KDM even in the KDE 3 times.
