Hello,
I have found some little things in KDE, which in my opinion, did not work properly. For two of them I have reported a bug at bugs.kde.org, but the bugs are listed there as unconfirmed since reported on 2009-05-08. Was it useless to do so or does the bugs still get noticed and the process takes only more time? What is the right way to report a bug? Is it necessary that somebody confirms the bugs, so do I have to tell the public that I have reported bugs? Responses are welcome. |

You have correctly reported the bug. Bug reports which contain full backtraces, detailed reproduction information, and depending on the application or nature of the bug other data such as screenshots, configuration files, etc. are more likely to get fixed.
However due to time constraints ( and in some cases, a lack of developer power ) it may be some time before the bug report is checked and resolved.
