When I change the icon that takes you to your home folder, it only stays until Konqueror is closed. When you restart it reverts back to the default icon.

Other icons on the toolbar do not revert to the default icon if you change them.

Is this a "feature", a bug or am I missing something?

This is important to me since I run copies of Konqueror, one as root and one user at the same time. Since you can no longer change the background, much less per user, like in KDE3--the root and user's copy look the same.... So I was wanting to change the icons so that there was "some" difference in the appearance of the different copies.

For now I am adding a couple of icons to the root users copy that will stay put--even though I won't use them--just to make it different from the standard users copy.

I am NOT using Kubuntu, I am using Ubuntu with Gnome 9.04, if that makes a difference.

TIA

i dont know for the icon changing but you can change a little the windows colours or/and decoration of the root (change them from systemsettings opened as root)

The home icon reverting is probably a bug....
