Up through the 3.x versions Konqueror was getting very useful indeed. I especially liked the different things available in the services panel such as lan and print and other kio-slave browsers like bluetooth and also I liked the access to not only menu's but settings too.

Come the 4.x versions the functionality of konqueror is being kurtailed, it seems, in favour of Dolphin. Why?
