Is it possible to use a different background for Dolphin when it is used as root? I have done a Google search and have not been able to come up with any information on the subject.I have looked at all of Dolphins features and can not seem to find anything to accomplish this.I am using KDE 4.2.4. Does anyone know if this is possible and how I might go about this? Thanks!

What do you mean by background? If you mean background image like in Konqueror, it's not possible as far as I know, What you can do is to change the color scheme for root (e.g. window background color) so you know when an application is running as root. Simple run 'kdesu systemsettings', enter password and modify the color scheme in "Appearance".

Thanks Hans, that answers my question. I could not find any way to change the background image but figured this was the best place to ask and make sure. Thanks again for your help!

You're welcome, glad that it helped. :)

Could you please add [SOLVED] to the thread title by pressing "EDIT"? (There are plans to make it easier to mark threads as solved, but for now you have to do it manually).
