Hi,

How can I have a separate trash folder on each partition in KDE 4.3 RC2? Right now it just gives me a trash folder in my home folder.

Vinod.

Just curious, why do you want a separate trash for each partition?

Because -- say I move to trash a file from partition A and my home folder is on partition B. Then the file is moved from partition A to partition B. This, as you would know is a much slower operation (often taking several minutes if the file is big) than just moving the file within the same partition.

This is currently a bug in the trash:/ KIO slave which does not take into account the source of the file ( don't even know if it can... ) since there is a specification for this.

Ah okay. Then I hope someone will get around to fixing this in some future version of KDE. Thanks! :)
