Hi all
I am currently still running KDE 3.5 on mepis. What I am trying to do is replace my movie thumbnails with custom DVD covers. I know you can get mplayerthumbs but as far as I know this only does a snapshot of the actual moive somewhere during the film. I actually want proper DVD cover art. I tried to change the .png of one of my avi's, now all my avi's have the exact same cover as it seems to use the picture for the .avi extension instead of movie name. I know on Gnome a program exists that is called imdb-thumbnailer which grabs the thumbs from imdb and changes the icons it self. Is there anyway I can change each thumbnail without konqueror changing them all to the same? Many Thanks for any help.. |

I guess this can't be done then. shame konqueror left this option out. This can even be done on winblows

The current thumbnail generators are only given access to the file, I suspect if the cover was embedded inside the file then it would use that instead.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. That sounds quite interesting. How would one embed a picture into an avi file? Many Thanks |

I guess it will work in the same way MP3, etc files have album covers embedded although I do not know of any program that does this.
